Man charged with DWI after hit-and-run car accident

One person taken to hospital after man fails to yield, causes car accident

On October 28, 2008, a 52-year-old man was driving in Salisbury, North Carolina when he failed to yield to an oncoming car, causing a car accident. After the collision, the man left the scene of the accident, but was later apprehended and taken into custody.

The man was charged with driving while impaired (DWI), driving without insurance, speeding to elude arrest and driving with a revoked license. One person in the car accident was transported to an area hospital.
